YORK INTERNATIONAL ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS 2027 — CANADA

York University in Toronto, Canada, automatically considers every incoming international undergraduate student for a merit-based entrance scholarship — no separate scholarship application required. These awards are granted purely on the basis of your final high school admission average and are applied directly to your tuition account. For African students with strong academic records, this is one of the most accessible scholarship pathways into a top Canadian university.

The scholarships are tiered by academic average, meaning the higher your grades, the larger your award. The top tier — the York International Scholarship of Distinction — is worth up to $37,500 over four years. All renewable awards can also be regained if your GPA dips temporarily and you bring it back up, giving students a second chance rather than losing funding permanently.

Renewal Conditions

• Complete a minimum of 24 credits per academic year
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 7.5 (B+)
• If GPA drops below minimum, scholarship can be regained the following year by raising GPA back up
